Three sons left home, went out on their own and prospered greatly. Getting back together, they discussed the gifts they sent to their elderly Mom for Christmas.
The first said, "I built a big house for Mom."
The second said, "I sent her a Mercedes Benz."
The third smiled and said, "I've got you both beat. You know how mom enjoys reading the Bible? Well now that her eyes aren't very good... and she can't read anymore... well... I sent her a parrot that can recite the entire Bible."
Soon thereafter, the elderly mom contacted her 3 sons saying...
"Milton"... "The house you built me is way too big."
"Gerald"..."The car you sent me is way too fancy."
My Dearest Donald"...
"WAS THE BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT OF ALL!"
,,,"THE CHICKEN YOU SENT ME...
I am not exactly sure how it works, but this is amazingly accurate.
The picture below has 2 identical dolphins in it... It was used in a case study on stress levels at Johns Hopkins University Hospital .
Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water. The dolphins are completely identical.
A closely monitored, scientific study revealed that, in spite of the fact that the dolphins are identical; a person under stress would find differences in the two dolphins.
The more differences a person finds
between the dolphins... the more
stress that person is experiencing.
Look at the photograph and if you find more than one or two differences you may want to take a vacation This Chistmas.
One Christmas morning a man called a taxi company & complained that a cab he ordered to take him to the airport had not arrived.
The girl who took the call apologised, "I'm very sorry the cab isn't there yet, sir, but don't worry"...
"the plane is always late on Christmas."
"Well, it certainly will be this morning," the caller said in a very un-Christmasy Tone...
........"I happen to be the pilot!"
In Todays World With ISIS, EBOLA, A Resurgent Russia & A Dangerous Middle East... it's often possible to feel intimidated and hopeless! At times like these it helps to kick back and smile! There have been problems since the beginning. The important thing though is to keep our antennas up towards the Lord and do what we can here and now.
Fear and yielding to intimidation causes us to be fruitless. Better to smile and know that God is in control and trust Him for the outcome! He has you and me in the palm of His hand... and He won't let go! God help us to share that hope, love and faith with all those we meet this Christmas! May we make our lives count and may we be faithful in the calling that we are all given!
